Welcome to Character Education Scotland

Character Education Scotland is a new national charity working with schools, public and voluntary organisations and the business community to develop values based education and training. To support our work we have introduced the Character Development Awards which provide a new method of certification designed to recognise quality learning in values education and reward individuals of any age for developing and applying positive character attributes to the benefit of themselves and /or others.

Character Achievement Awards

The 2010 Values Poster Awards take place across the country and this year we are pleased to announce the dates and locations of the awards in Edinburgh, Cardiff, Belfast and Oxford.

Alongside awards for young people, for the first time we will be presenting Character Achievement Awards. The Achievement Award recognises an individual of any age who has applied their values and demonstrated positive character attributes to affect a personal achievement or a contribution to others. Individuals receiving this award could be considered as positive role models and a source of inspiration for others. Any individual may be nominated for an award by their peers, colleagues or by members of the public who feel that this individual deserves credit and recognition for their actions. If you would like to nominate someone please complete an application form online at http://www.character-scotland.org.uk/achievement.htm.
